Porcelain Veneers

The Porcelain Veneers Process

The first step in the process to place porcelain veneers at our office in La Jolla is a consultation with one of our cosmetic dentists. During this consultation, we will determine if you are a good candidate for veneers. We can create a mock up of your smile with porcelain veneers so that you can preview what you may look like after treatment. This smile design can help you decide if porcelain veneers are the right choice for you.

Once it is determined that you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers, a digital impression of your teeth will be made and sent to our master ceramist who will custom craft veneers that closely match your new design in shape, color, and size. Temporary veneers that simulate your new smile will be fitted on your teeth to protect them while your permanent veneers are being created. You will return to our La Jolla office for a second visit once your porcelain veneers are ready, and we will permanently bond them over the front of your teeth. You will leave this second appointment with a beautifully restored smile.
