Porcelain veneers are basically a very thin lamination or a thin shell of porcelain that’s placed over the natural tooth and what we can do with that is correct rotations, length problems. We can add length or subtract length. We can also take care of color, cracks or chips and basically realign the smile in a way that allows the patient to achieve a perfect smile in a very short period of time without having to go through braces and movement of the teeth over many years. So they’re very successful. The technology is very sound and we’re having great success with that and our goal with porcelain veneers is to create that restoration by preserving as much tooth structure as possible in making that veneer extremely thin, yet still durable.
